Abstract

These maps of Salisbury, Maryland from circa 1932 were used by real estate developer, Richard Hodgson. The detailed maps, likely based on Sanborn Fire Insurance maps, were filled in to identify nearly every property owner in the city from individual dwellings to corporate owners. There is also a map insert from the late 1950s showing the city of Salisbury with different businesses advertised and located.

Biographical History

Richard H. Hodgson was a real estate developer in Salisbury, Maryland from the 1910s to the 1960s. He was a veteran of the First World War and nephew of Wicomico County judge and attorney, Joseph L. Bailey.
