Abstract

In 1990, former Salisbury University Student Brooke Boyer collected folk material. Her collection focuses on the folk art of making quilts. She interviewed three female quilt makers to know more about their techniques, etc. In her paper, she analyzes the influence of farming traditions and modernity on quilt making. Photographs enclosed.
