Margaret Ann Jones Bloodsworth was born on March 22, 1924. She was the daughter of W. Woolford Jones and Maddie Brittingham Jones. Margaret attended Wicomico High School from 1938 to 1941, shortly after she attended Salisbury States Teachers College, graduating in 1944. She then moved to Baltimore to work as a teacher. Here she met her husband J. Albert Bloodsworth, they married in 1946, returning to Salisbury to tech at Pinehurst Elementary School. A year later in 1947 she had a son, John Eric “Ric” Bloodsworth. Margaret lived out her life in Salisbury, being an active member of the Asbury Church and a lover of sports. Her husband passed in 1985, and later Margaret passed away in 2012, at the age of 88.
