Abstract

The Charles Cole Collection includes a school registry from public school number 3, located near the community of West, dated from the year 1909-1916. It is a list of students, and teachers as well as their grades and attendance throughout the school year. There are four different teachers listed in the registry, each teaching a different year with a different set of students. Those teachers were Bessie Pollitt, Helen Pusey, Delsie Fooks, and Carl Powell.

Biographical History

Bessie Pollitt was 30 years old as of 1920 and was born about 1890. Her marital status was single at that time and she lived with her parents, Levin Bobbett (54), and Erma Bobbett (52).

Helen Pusey was 26 as of 1920 and was born about 1894. Her marital status was single and she lived with her parents Louis (68) and Laura (63). She also had two siblings, a sister, Lula (31), and a brother, Leroy (29).

Delsie Fooks was 23 as of 1910 and was born about 1887. Her marital status was single and she lived with her parents, John (53), and Vivian (45). She had a brother, Oscar (21).
