The materials that are in the Isabelle K. Leach Collection are all newspaper clippings, and photos from the Salisbury Daily and Sunday Times. This collection includes Isabelle K. Leach's own articles and photos, mainly dealing with events going on in and around Pocomoke City Maryland, encompassing thirty years of events 1979-1996. Also included are various reporters articles and photos as well as many clippings dealing with the current events from 1979-1984, and clippings of Weddings and Deaths in and around the Pocomoke area.

Isabelle K. Leach began her career as a journalist in 1958 with her column "Peeking around Pocomoke" in The Worcester Democrat. Once making a name for her self through her column Isabelle Leach started to cover politics in Pocomoke by reporting on the Worcester Commissioners and Pocomoke City Council. Her career continued on with her writing articles up into 1996. Although writing for newspapers were not all she was capable of doing. Isabelle Leach in 1960 was an instrumental part of getting the Federal Government to preserve and set up the Assategue Island National Seashore. Leach played a part in improving race relations in the 1960s as well as being present at Wallops Island during the first pre-orbital flights in NASA's space programs infancy. Isabelle Leach was also a part of the preservation of historic Costen House in Pocomoke City, Maryland. Over her career reporting Isabelle Leach contributed to the Washington Post and Baltimore Sun. She was an editor of the local Pocomoke City newspaper and weekly columnist for the Daily Times in Salisbury, Maryland. Isabelle Leach was given three separate times the MD-DEL-DC Press Association award for Excellence in Journalism. Then at the age of 90 she published her novel "The Sower Went Forth"
