Abstract

This collection is comprised of original papers including deeds, plats, wills, letters, bill of sale, mortgage, receipts, oyster lots, lease, notice, survey, and account pages in the possession of Nancy Insley Gribbon relating to the Insley and allied families of Somerset County, Maryland. The original documents have been photocopied and these photocopies are housed with the original documents. The date range of the material is from 1792 until 1914.

Biographical History

Nancy Insley Gribbon, born in Salisbury, Maryland, daughter of Richard C. and Eva Wheatley Insley, married Robert B. Gribbon in 1965, they had one son.
