Abstract

The collection of Jerome Kennedy primarily contains handbooks and small press pamphlets documents festivals, folklore, and history of locations, daily civic life and other activities. Other formats include scrapbooks, print materials, photos and newspaper clippings.

Biographical History

Jerome Kennedy was a Delaware native who resided in Seaford, Delaware until his death in the late 1990's. 

Scope and Content Note

Series I. Maryland, 1911 - 1982, Much of this series was written locally, information compiled by those in the community.

Series II. Delaware, 1913 - 1987, Much of this series was written locally, information compiled by those in the community.

Series III. Virginia, 1967 - 1968, History of Virginia focusing on subjects such locations such as its ports, battlefields, historic buildings, and locations including Mount Vernon, Williamsburg, Richmond, the Eastern Shore and other regions.  Includes a wealth of images from the Mount Vernon plantation.

Series IV. Misc. , 1956 - 1959
