Abstract

The papers of Azariah Pusey document the last will and testament of John Pusey, his grandfather, in which he was bequeathed a plot of land called Hog Quarter in Somerset County, Maryland, 1851. A corresponding survey documents the land from Friendship Church to the west side of the road and was completed in 1875.

Biographical History

Azariah C. Pusey, (1842-1924), married to Julia Emily Parson Pusey, (1851-1935). They had six children. Pusey served in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War.
