Abstract

John Skinner Taylor Tax records document the transactions between John S. Taylor and the treasurer of Accomack County, Va. between 1901 and 1903. In addition, there is a financial report for Salisbury, Maryland in 1956. There is a bill from Home Gas Company addressed to Mary E. Collins. Also a receipt for a train ticket on the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore railroad.

Biographical History

 John Skinner Taylor was born around 1830. He married Mahala Townsend on December 22, 1856. The couple had two children; one daughter Sara Ella Taylor born in 1858, and a son James H. Taylor born in 1863 both children died in 1882. The tax record indicates that John S. Taylor lived in Greenbackville, Accomack County, Va.
