Abstract

The papers of William and Betty Morgan document their financial practices as residents of 200 East Church Street, Salisbury, Maryland and members of the Farmers and Merchants Bank, 1950-1953. Additionally, William Morgan's 1938 Pinehurst Elementary School diploma and a record from Holloway Funeral Home documents the cost of the 1941 funeral of John Earnest Moore, William's grandfather are also included.

Biographical History

William E. Morgan (1923-2001) and Betty Ora Brill Morgan (1924-2000) were residents of Salisbury, Maryland who lived at 200 E. Church Street, adjacent to the county courthouse. William and Betty were married in 1948; at the time of their marriage Betty was working as a clerk in one of the local banks and William, a United States Army Veteran was working for the United States Postal Service. 

William, was born to James A. Morgan, Jr., and Sarah Griffin Moore Morgan; her parents, were John Earnest Moore and Florence Moore. 

Betty Ora was born to Lewis Henry Brill and Minnie Jane Brumbly Brill in Little Creek Hundred, Kent County, Delaware.
