Abstract

The Worcester County research collection contains documents that cover the history of Worcester County. Major topics covered are: the foundation and early history of Worcester County, Worcester County Revolutionary and Civil War periods, historic sites and homes, religious information, and Snow Hill. Also included are Maps of Snow Hill and Worcester County, various writings and essays on Worcester County, and magazine articles.

Administrative History

Worcester County has been a recognized county of the state of Maryland since 1742, and was granted home rule in 1976.
