Abstract

The collection consists of a promotional poster for the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland. It advertises a tour of Maryland gardens and houses from April 29-May 9, 1938, with the proceeds to benefit the restoration of Colonial Annapolis.

Administrative History

The Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland was founded in 1926 to promote floral design, horticulture, garden study and conservation. In 1929, it was one of 16 charter clubs of the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
