The papers of Anna Jones Cooper document her involvement with Salisbury Teachers College alumni who were enlisted in the different branches of the military during World War II as well as her involvement as head of the STC Alumni Committee. Materials date from 1929-1948 with the bulk of the material dating from 1943-1945, and includes enlisted alumni biographies and addresses, correspondence, and printed materials that feature the enlisted alumni.
Anna Jones Cooper (1908-1985) was an assistant at the Salisbury State Teachers College (STC) library, and manager of the school bookstore; simultaneously she also helmed the STC Alumni Committee. As head of the Alumni Committee, she corresponded with students and alumni who were serving overseas during World War II.
Series I: World War II Service Alumni, 1940-1945, documents the men and women from STC who served in varying capacities through correspondence and photographs.
Series II: Alumni Relations, 1929-1950, documents post-war materials on alumni including addresses, events, athletes, and correspondence to Mrs. Jones Cooper.
The Anna Jones Cooper papers have been arranged into two series WORLD WAR II SERVICE ALUMNI and ALUMNI RELATIONS.
