Wicomico High School, Class of 1960 records document the continuous relationships between students of Wicomico Senior High School’s Class of 1960, in Salisbury, Maryland, through their numerous class reunions and casual gatherings after their graduation. Their reunions and gatherings were often held at local restaurants, Greenhill Country Club, and Shoemaker Park. The records date from 1954–2012. The lasting relationships of the students in the Class of 1960 are exhibited via invitations and photographs.

First established in 1872, Salisbury High School was formed out of the private Salisbury Academy in Salisbury, Maryland.  As the population grew, the need for a new building and site arose.  In 1905, the high school moved to Upton Street then to East Main Street in 1931.  Again a larger population and demand for a newer building led to the construction of a new high school on Long Avenue in 1954 and was renamed Wicomico Senior High School.  It was designed in a campus style and was one of the most modern schools on the East Coast.  Forty-one years later, the building was renovated and renamed Wicomico High School.  The Class of 1960 from Wicomico Senior High was one of the first 7th grade classes to attend a junior high school on the eastern shore.  With the motto, “What we are is God’s gift to us, what we become is our gift to God,” the graduating class had 288 students, many of whom gathered numerous times over the next fifty years at class reunions and casual gatherings.  A typical reunion weekend lasted from Friday to Sunday and included activities such as a welcome party, a round of golf, a dinner and dance, and a final picnic, usually hosted at Shoemaker Park, Salisbury, Maryland.
