In 1995, former Salisbury University student Ginny Frank collected folk material. Her collection explores traditions of Salisbury State University's Nursing School, most notably the pinning celebration. Included are a cassette tape of interviews, black and white photographs, an invitation to the nursing convocation, a series of nursing oriented work forms, and a syllabus.
Folklife Collection - Pennsylavnia Dutch Powwowing

In 1993, former Salisbury University student Justin Morris collected folk material. This collection focuses on Powwowing or the Pennsylvania Dutch approach to folk medicine using magic and faith healing to cure diseases. This paper describes the common practices used by powwow doctors (amulets, chants, herbs, etc.) and provides examples of incantations. It is noteworthy to mention that, according to the main informant Ruth Krieble, these incantation had a poetic rhyme but this characteristic was lost when they were translated from German.
