In 1999, former Salisbury University student Liz Kristian and Suzanne Yurcho collected folk material. Their collection explores the Salisbury State University Swim Team as a folkgroup, including its customs, language, superstitions, and overall culture. Included is their essay, color photographs, a list of "pool language", Red Cross training handouts, a hand drawn floor plan of the pool, and campus recreation schedule.
