In 1993, former Salisbury University students Scott Deltuva, Sean Harris and Eric Wieland collected folk material. Their project focuses on drinking games played in college in the 1990's. They performed several fieldwork "parties" to observe the settings in which these games were most often played. A considerable number of games are described in their paper, including "Asshole" (a card game), "Battleship" (8 mugs and 2 quarters) and "Circle of Death" (another card game) to name a few.
