In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1978, Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For this collection, these interviews focus on the history of Fairmount Elementary School. Student Deborah Barnes interviewed some alumni of the school to hear their recollections and provided additional documents such as a newspaper clipping and photographs to accompany her report. Most interviews include a short description of the informant and his or her relationship to the collector.
