In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents during the years of 1970 to 1971, former Salisbury University students and professors, Janet Montgomery, Patricia Holland, and Pat Clifford, collected folk legends. For this collection, these interviews focus on various stories of mysteriously mummified or preserved corpses that were discovered somewhere on the Eastern Shore. Most interviews include personal descriptions of the interviewer and informant, and the story.
