Specifically, photographs or photo-stories were featured in each edition. The March 22, 1981 edition, features the photographs of Peter M. Tilghman. Tilghman, a Crisfield native, depicts the town in various scopes including local businesses such as oyster shucking, dry goods at Horsey Brothers, a shirt factory, and an early Harley Davidson motorcycle shop. Smith Island, the people and the landscape are featured in the April 24, 1983 edition of the magazine. The corresponding description, authored by Tom Horton, recollects his encounters with the island residents from the late 1970s including Waterman, Jennings Evans, and Reverand Henry Zollinhoffer.
