| Transaction Abstract | In Dorchester County Orphans' Court, David Ross, Negro boy 6 yo on 9 Feb last, being brought into court and represented to Court that Ross is not at service or learning a trade in service to his parents & is without means sufficient for his support. Therefore, David Ross, on 25 May 1857 is bound as apprentice by Justices of Orphans' Court to John D. Parker until age 21. Parker contracts to teach apprentice trade of farmer & to supply him with clothing & maintenance and when free to give him $15 & 2 suits of clothes as freedom dues. Also, in lieu of education he is to give him $20 when free. Signed 25 May 1857. |
