| Abstract | Manumission. "To all to whom this present writing may concern - Whereas I believe that it is unjust to hold people in slavery - do by these present manumitt and sett free the following slaves (to wit) Capril aged nineteen years, Milby ages ten years, Harnton aged six years, Patience aged four years, George aged eight months, that is to say the Negroes shall be free, the males when they arrive at the age of twenty-five and females when they arrive at the age of twenty-one years.
